Wasn't there an air crash some years back when the pilots shut down the wrong engine, then on investigation it was found that the warning light wiring had been mixed up so that when the warning light came on saying the right hand engine had a fault it was actually the left hand engine that was faulty, think it might have been the one that hit the motorway banking in England but could be wrong...

It was East Midlands Airport, yes, shut the wrong engine down and never made the runway. Quite a bit short as it happens, the plane ended up straddled across the M1. Every time I land there it comes to mind. No mishaps yet on any planes I have been on............ Except the aborted landing at Stansted once......... Jeez. Then they decided to fly to Leeds Bradford, not really a safe option in my opinion but I guess it was above the fog.
