For about the last 50 years I have had a wristwatch on my left am where the pointy things (never a digital) show me what time it is for half the day. You had to guess of course if you thought it might be after midday. Has time moved on? 3025408739  Anyway 6 months ago mine stopped, probably needing a new battery, but I never bothered because of course my mobile tells me the time. Last night I was watching tele a bit and no bugger had one on! So, looks like the wristwatch has been consigned to the history books. What ever is going to happen to Big Ben? I know, stick a dome on it.

My battery went flat a few weeks ago and I just put the watch in a drawer. Not needed is it?

Got my dad a watch as a Christmas present once, few years later he says it's stopped working, then  went on to say what a good time keeper it had been, he put it down to the fact he wound it up exactly eight winds at midday every day...
I say, have you tried putting a new battery in it..............
