    I can remember a corner shop when I was younger and being sent with a list of stuff to get.

    We had shops like that when I was a kid, you bought bacon by the slice, they cut it for you Sugar came in a blue paper bag and you bought butter which was cut from a huge tub.

    Nowt new here then. Shops like this in Downham Market, Norfolk. 6 miles from me. Average age of resident well past mine. However I do believe you can get a good tattoo done there.

    We shopped at the Co-op, I can still remember our divi number. 13780 and my grans was 24993 how sad is that after almost 60 years.

    1908 was my mums. You can't forget that because you were told to repeat it every time you went the messages! Plus our wee village had all the Co-op vans that came round...baker, butcher, greengrocer etc.
