Mystery of the Holy Thorn Tree.

Post by Campbell Brodie on Thu 5 Apr 2012 - 19:25

Some nut with a chainsaw has cut it down! It was near Glastonbury and it supposedly sprang to life when Joseph of Arimathea (Jesus' great uncle) stuck his staff in the soil in the 1st Century AD. (Reg will know...)

    BBC News

An interesting aside is that the famous "Stone of Destiny" that used to sit beneath the throne in Westminster Abbey and which good King Eddy the first of that Ilk, nicked from the Scots after giving them a good doing over, was supposedly the "Pillow" of Jacob when he dreamed of his "ladder" Jacob's Ladder.

What other forum gives you stuff like this?!!!!

Have you heard the shite they tell people, Joe rammed a stick in the ground and a tree grew, , WTF
Only thing Joe rammed was that liar Mary in the stable. With a Donkey looking on, Yeh Right.
Make a note of that somebody, In two thousands years that will come in handy for story telling,
There was a song - Underneath the arches, Pavement for my pillow - That were they nicked that from,
Good job trading standards cant get involved with Religion, They would be in the big house (Prison)
