Cant blame people for asking. I have a flight with jet2 from Stansted on sunday. Trying to find where I can get PCR test not by post reasonably local to me but I am struggling. Best I can come up with is Gatwick for £99 but thats 150 miles away ffs. Has to be done within 72 hours of arrival at TFS as well but takes 24+ hours to come through with the result. Obvious day would be Friday assuming they work at the lab on Saturday but Friday I have track day at Mallory Park in Leicestershire so cant do it that day. Only option I got is slap down to Gatwick Thursday afternoon. So £30 diesel in Patsys 62mpg Fiat 500 + £5 for Dartford crossing +£99 for test so thats 135 quid not including my time FFS. Flight cost £54 return which was cheap but it aint now! Company running the show at Gatwick promised to roll it out over the whole country....... Not happened then, TOSSERS! Grrrr.

Looking at my bank account I see the Govt have sent me £200 for heating allowance. Very nice and thanks indeed. Sadly it looks like I have blown it already keeping warm in Tenerife for a week.

Got a mate works NHS in admin Manchester hospital, he texts other night saying he/all staff have been given enough Covid test kits to test themselves twice a week for 12 weeks,,, he's been told kits cost £120 each to produce/process,,,

Blimey poking that swab down my throat was highly unpleasant. Thats why I wanted someone who knows what they are doing for the job. In the post to lab now so hope the jobs a goodun. When you going then Reg? By the way I have lost your phone number, they all got wiped.

We followed what jet2 said to the letter, Janet tried to get one done privately but they don't like it if its too soon or too late, 72 hours before you land is the target, so the postal test has the flight details
so if it don't arrive before morning we are going nowhere, WTF is wrong with the test done at the airprort by Jet 2 and then they can say ya or na, feck me ridgid
