Bad day. Went to go shopping and 3 miles up the road my Freelander broke. Pulling away from a junction something went bang and it will go neither forwards or backwards. Towed it to my daughters house but I think its terminal. Shame, had it 3 years. Scrap yard will give me £218. Think I paid £250.

I was getting changed to have my bath when a wee saying my dad had came to mind which I thought fitted in with the current situation, he used to say " we all arose put on our clothes and then went back to bed " I don't know the context for it but there must have been a time when it was similar to now.

Filling up the bird feeders and over the neighbours fence I'm getting eyeballed with a sparrowhawk on the ground with a male blackbird in it's talons. Brekkie sorted then.

Been to ASDA, fridge and freezer full again. Got Dreamies for the neighbours cats and another bag of peanuts for the birds as I'd run out a few days ago. (Plenty bird seed though).

Yeah, specially those Gordons over the border. I was round my daughters yesterday and while I was there son in law got a phone call. He gets his jab on Thursday!
