Sunday has become a recovery day for me, but one rest day a week isn't enough. I'm doing 60 - 70 hours each week trying to keep up with the workload. The most stressful part of the day  is getting the kids ready for school, and then doing the school runs. It interferes with the work.  Never thought i would say this, but I'm really looking forward to xmas What are you doing today?? - Page 31 3025408739

New rules come into play on Monday for entry to Tenerife. So with this in mind I have done the sensible thing and booked a flight for Sunday. Only for 4 days as I got hospital appointment 28/11. Cheap enough, £59.  What are you doing today?? - Page 31 294053457

I stopped with the bird feeder because having a rewind of the cctv all the Rats turn up for the bits that fell on the floor. rare to see them when people are about but when its quiet Rat city innit,
they set up camp under the shed nearest to feeder, What are you doing today?? - Page 31 2419626307
shame but the birds can go elsewhere,

A couple of cartons of ciggies should cover the cost of your flight and you can always cancel the hospital appointment if you catch the virus  What are you doing today?? - Page 31 1498946960

Was speaking to a business owner we deal with in Fife on Thursday made the mistake of asking him how things were going. He sounded really down and then told me he had been a bit lax about the Covid procedures which he thought were over the top. Unknown to him he contracted Covid and passed it on to his dad who subsequently died from this, he is understandably distraught and cannot come to terms with what has happened.

When we are working in occupied houses, we tell the clients to stay away from us ( except for bringing the tea and biscuits)( actually, the job we finished on Saturday, the lady gave myself and Marcques a bottle of wine each) . We don't use masks as we found we couldn'y work with them,. Same goes for gloves, we need the dexterity in our fingers to use tape, sand etc etc but we have a 2.5 litre bottle of alcohol gel that we use every time we pass it.

Started a feckin war with Tikkurila paint company. I have used one of their primers on several occasions on staircases this year. Today, I got the 2nd call back from a customer in 2 weeks. This makes 3 staircases, including my own, where the paint will come off with your thumbnail. I have been testing the primer myself in my shed since i got the first call and lo and behold, it doesn't stick to some varnishes and lacquers. Tikkurila have said that they will send out a rep to look, but that they have full confidence in their products. All these staircases will have to be stripped back to bare wood and will leave me out of pocket by about 4 grand. Been in the garden all morning. All tidied up for the winter now. Leaves are off the trees now so hoovered up all the ones still lying on the ground Summer's hanging baskets all emptied and baskets put away in shed. Roses all pruned and frost prone plants put in shed as well. What are you doing today?? - Page 31 2236138069
