Novice trackday so I wasnt totally over-awed in my 130bhp MG TF. My daughter came too, she was driving the red BMW which by the afternoon sessions I decided to follow her as opposed to her copying me. Both cars pretty evenly matched to be fair, hers had about 20bhp more than mine but mine weighs a bit less, until I get in it anyway. Both cars have over 100k miles on them. Now shes a girl but she can drive. Has licence for buses, artic lorries and now fuel tanker. Anyway day started a bit damp, in fact I spun on the second session but didnt leave the track. Sadly its not on video, forgot to plug in dash cam which was mounted on passenger window so I could watch me too. Well, looks like I'm on a Sunday afternoon cruise but trust me this was on the limit. Most of the time I only have one hand on the wheel. On the video it shows when Gemma's car suddenly loses all power, guess the computer says NO lol. I did tell her to turn off her ABS but she didnt want to do that so this was actually the last time she went out deciding to miss the last session. It looks twice as fast in real life than on the video. MG Tf  can manage 95mph by the end of the two straights.

I have since booked two more trackdays this time at Cadwell Park Track in Lincolnshire. 3/5 and 14/10. A more challenging track known as the British Nurbergring. Snetterton racetrack 2/3/19 3025408739 Also keeping my eye open for a car with more power. I see Jags make feck all money on ebay. A 3 litre V6 manual S-type will probably fit the bill. The walnut dash and comfy leather armchairs will fit my age group too. Now, I need someone to race....... Reg?

Love to Vince but i do all mine around Headingley, It will consume large amounts of time and money
Was involved in F1 Stock car racing in the early to mid eighty's one night cost us £1800 we got nowhere because all the others were funded by transport companys etc so we bailed out Transport

It costs peanuts Reg. May one (novice day) where you get 7 sessions of 20 minutes was 119 quid and October one is open pit lane with no restrictions on time was just 99. That one was well cheap normally much more. Look up trackdays on Google. All you need is a driving licence and a crash helmet. Fastest car you can lay your hands on and a tank of fuel. Noise restriction but mine passed easy. Restaurant on site if you get peckish. No insurance required, normal car one wont apply anyway lol. At Snetterton there was a 2 year old Ferrari and a similar age Aston Martin FFS, both owned by Japs.
Gone off the Jag plan, bloody things weigh 1800kgs so the power to weight ratio aint that good and I can see the tyres getting fecked pretty quick so on a lookout for a MG TF with the more powerful 160 VVC engine in it. Only about 1100kgs. I quite like the way they handle, can match even the Caterhams through the bends. Transport
