Allways feel wary around them third rail systems, London underground I go nowhere near the edge of the platform until the train is there...

Recall being in Dover some years back, was putting off time while waiting on channel crossing, took a walk through the town, was amazed there was a third rail track right through the town, walking along the pavement roads on one side on the other over a flimbsy fence is a strip of metal carrying up to 1500 volts,,, yip there were plenty of signs telling you of the danger, but none as described in this Wiki article...

"There is also a risk of pedestrians walking onto the tracks at level crossings. In the US, a 1992 Supreme Court of Illinoisdecision affirmed a $1.5 million verdict against the Chicago Transit Authority for failing to stop an intoxicated person from walking onto the tracks at a level crossing and attempting to urinate on the third rail.[2] The Paris Metro has graphic warning signs pointing out the danger of electrocution from urinating on third rails, precautions which Chicago did not have."
