Dogs, I've said it before and I'll say it again, good for one thing, turning dog food in to dog shit...

    And not a cheap process:-

"In the United States alone, dog owners spent over $8.6 billion on commercially manufactured dog food in 2007."

She gets on fine with Patch if I leave them alone together but she tends to growl at him if a humans about. Patch seems to accept whos in the driving seat here. Of course he is mainly interested in humping her but as soon as he starts sniffing that area she promptly sits on her butt. Patch is not actually living here now he is with Fred and Pixie has proved to be good guard dog barking if someone comes near the house. She follows me round like a lamb. Tried her off the lead up the lane opposite my house and she stays close and stops if told too. Unlike Patch who is easily distracted by absolutely anything that moves. Tried with a ball tonight, nope, she wont chase it. This is probably a good thing as I dont have to bend down to pick it up again. As for doggy do's Minty, small dogs equals small turds. Patch is small for a Jack Russell this ones even smaller and if you feed them on the dried food as opposed to the tinned stuff the poos come out in a hard state not sort of runny. Now Patch always used to hide himself away in the long grass up the lane to do his business so plastic bag not required but Pixie wants to do it on the bloody tarmac! A re-training regime is on the cards here trust me.

Ref hi-lighted above, as a kid we had a dog, medium sized thing don't know exact breed of mongrel it was,,, anyone walked past house, came up path, knocked door, dog went mental, running around barking etc,,, plus anything put through letter box was destroyed...

We lived top floor of a two story building, one day me and my mum are locked out, I'm just a kid, lad who lived across the road says "I can climb up drain pipe and get in your open kitchen window", my mum says ok but be beware of dog, lad gets in to house and let's us in, my mum says how did you handle dog,,, he says "It hid under kitchen table" ...

Bark is worse than the bite then.   However, 99 out of 100 burglers will flee. Job done!

Lovely little dog, I love Jack Russels but only ever had 1 dog when I was a kid a German Shepherd which we loved. Always said the next dog would be a Jack Russel but tbh I dont know if we would dare though, love holidays and wouldnt want to stick a dog in kennels etc.

I would really love one though but the wife aint keen, I thought about getting rid of the wife and getting a dog lol
