    Galway landmarks.

Bit off topic as not really in the UK, but as close as I could get. This used to hang on the wall in The Claddagh (you probably remember it Reg), but was taken down a couple of years ago and flung in the stock room next to the toilets. Shame really, as it's a lovely painting which must have taken someone a lot of time and effort. 3rdForum will probably have been pissed in all the pubs you can see on here.

The Spinnaker Hotel in the bottom left hand corner... my uncle was a part- owner of that once upon a time.

Nah, it's still there I think. It's about 4 foot square, too big to get home. Them airport handlers would destroy it!

Haha! He had to modernise the seats, your arse fell through the wicker-work on the old ones! There was thin cushions on them and you didn't know 'til you sat down! €30 sounds about right. He's canny with the dosh is Gerry, he was brought up without any so he makes do and mends. Good lad.

If that is a painting on canvas and not a photograph, why don´t you rescue it. I would keep it in my garage until you could strip it from the frame and then you could get it home easily. I'd check it out for you except I don´t know Gerry but my bestest mate AG does so I may get him to check it out for you. Only trouble is if it is worth anything he will know and do a deal himself

I think it's a print. If you zoom in to bottom right you see "Zenith Publications" then "Artwork by ******(I can't make it out). If it was worth money Gerry would know believe me! Right I'm off out. Laters!
