The forum has an extremely accurate New Year countdown on its home page, for anyone unsure as to when 2012 starts run your cursor over it.
Anyway, New Year, it’s just another excuse for excessive drinking, don’t see the point.

Yeh, KO, but what are you going to do on the first of January, wish them happy Easter !!!
Annual Celebration Dates & Lead Up Times
Valentines Day:- 14 February. Starts January.
Mothers Day:- Fourth Sunday of Lent. Starts approx six weeks prior.
Easter:- Whenever !!, anyway starts 26 December preceding year.
Fathers Day:- Third Sunday in June. Starts approx month prior.
Halloween:- 31 October (The New Christmas):- Starts approx two month prior courtesy of Wal-Mart.
Guy Fawkes Night:- 5 November. Starts approx. month prior. (Note, Wal-Mart are lobbying parliament to change date as clashes with Halloween).
Christmas Day:- 25 December. Starts, well ! Perpetual.
New Year:- Old year finish 31 December at the stroke of midnight and the New Year starts then on the 1 January.
So it’s never ending, celebrate this, celebrate that, etc, etc.

Did you tell your reliable source that didn´t get the Christmas countdown right that we can show them how to do a New Year one for the price of a pint.
